What i found while i was surfing the net was an extremely cool hotel in Brussels,Belgium. I wish all hotels could seem like this one, such trendy and colorful, which with only one look it makes your day!!

dream:house

Have you ever imagined how your house is going to be? I actually did it, many times. As a color fanatic i will definitely not leave even one house corner completely white. I love minimal but i love accessories too. If these two can be combined, then the result is gonna be MY DREAM HOUSE. I love colors such as white, light green, lilac, pink and all NEON as well ! When i get to dream a lot, i imagine a house with hammocks, pillows everywhere on the floor and exotic trees. I am trying to design every corner of the home with accurate details.. but in the end when i come back to reality and i realize that it was only a dream, i get a little bit disappointed.

I am also in love with modern designed furniture. When i am reading lifestyle magazines i turn to the last pages where i find some pieces of real art work! The last i wanted to state is that i really really ''hate'' the classic homes with all that ''rich'' details. Chandeliers are my nightmares!! I could never imagine for example my home consisting of grande chandeliers, classic carpets and crystal cutlery! I love strange shaped sofas(definitely not the classic rectangle ones) which add to house more comfort. One of my craziest ideas is that of not having sofas at all, only pillows! Okay, when i come back to reality i see that this is not possible because not all people in my country are so open-minded !!  As for the materials i love glass, stone and plastic.

We must have our minds open to new ideas and not staying focused only in ''our'' place . Buy for example French Vogue, watch NYC or Paris street-style, plan trips and generally explore the culture of everything different !!

meeting the old-city

It is incredible when you realize how many things and small treasures you can find while you are just enjoying a walk in the old Nicosia city .. This old city which is often getting misunderstood and degraded and i am still wondering why! Not only one are the places where you can visit or join for food, coffee or a drink. It's like you are near culture, especially when you walk into the city and trying to discover small and quite places far away from the big  and impersonal ''new'' one. Okay, i can't state that i am not a fan of lifestyle&glamour as well, but sometimes i am just satisfied with this. And believe me it's not less. Especially in the last years the old city is continuously getting improved and more advanced. The only ''problem'' is to convince the people that old city is as rich as the new one, and even more! Trust me, there is nothing to jealous, especially if the projects are going to continue.

Lately, what made real impression to me are the small shops which sell handmade stuff all full of fantasy&imagination. There are so many talents, not only in my country but worldwide that is such a pity to only buy things from well-known and worldwide famous big-stores. We should try to infiltrate into the uniqueness of something vintage and not of something branded!

Old cities everywhere ''help'' you to find inspiration in order to broad your mind.. Writing poems, drawing sketches, taking photographs, riding bicycles are only few of many activities that  can be taken up while you are visiting the city or later at home, after you've influenced.

hoped to enjoy the post and as a  tip : don't leave your heritage behind in order to move on. It's a big mistake!

Who said that headbands and generally all hair accessories are only for summer? The same stuff can be customized for all seasons as well! For example a floral turban in summer could be turned into a fur leopard print one for the season of winter. The soft fabrics, designed especially for summer could be converted into velvet, which suits perfect for the winter. There are always solutions to be found and the only component needed is our fantasy&imagination. If we want to become better and improve our lives we will, if we don't,we will destroy them .. It's up to us to take risks or not, to taste something new or not, to make big decisions or keep ensured on something given .. People have this useful power and the only one we can do is just to use it! Anyway, in order for my thoughts to come to an end the one i wanted to show is this fur headband which is perfectly suit for winter!

It is acceptable that big cities are the place where you are never alone, the more entertaining one. However all of us need freshAIR and not the airconditioned one (!) This can only be found near nature. I believe that each person has the need for both of them. Countryside on the one hand gives you a different experience far away from everything, time to think and the opportunity to breathe fresh air. On the other hand big cities are that thing, with all that stuff, parties, crowded, many people.

daring or not?

As a personality i am not a fan of STANDARDS. Actually i hate them. I believe in fantasy&imagintaion which everybody has. The point is to usethem instead of following current trends that are surely ''in''. I feel awkard when i walk into the streets and i see a group of friends all of them completely thesame. This means that all of us are the same- so there is no uniqueness and separate personalities.
To make my point easily to underastand i'll give an example. I don't find reasonable, when buying an item (v.nice&stylish indeed) wearing it all the time, just beacuse you are reassured for your outfit. For me DARING IS A POWER which either you got it in a young age and later when you get older you loose it - or keep it forever. There is also one more part of people who never had or will never acquire this power/daring, just because (? i don't know exactly why they do it - obviously because i don't belong in this group of people) they are afraid of what people is going to say about them. Actually either you dare or not there are mean people, who are gonna gossip you whatever you do,so what's the big deal of not daring and trying to hide your real self?

H&M clothe company is a common secret ! It offers clothes-shoes-accessories (ALL WE NEED IN OUR CLOSET). One advantage of H&M is their value for money choices. For example i got a pair of trainers at the price of 15e, and this is only one example. The second advantage of H&M is that this company makes guest-designer collaborations. H&M so far has cooparated with big-names such as fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney, the avant-garde couple of Viktor&Rolf, the Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, the British designer Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel and with the French fashion house Lanvin(i specially love).

The NEW big collaboration that has been announced during June2011 is the one with Versace!

-I can definitely state that H&M never stops getting me excited and will never(hopefully) disappoint me!!

I get very happy when i still find some pieces sooo unique-that you cannot just leave them and move on. These pieces are described as some very GREATFINDS and whether you buy them you acquire a litle bit of uniqueness too.

Actually i don't get very excited with everything. I say this is good, this is not good and this is awful as all of us. However what happened is that while i was surfing the net at my most visited websites (asos.com,youtube.com,topshop.com .. ) i found some pieces (onSALES) that immidiatelly took my attention!!

Have you ever imagined, what could have been happened if we were born into another decade? Let's say, at 60's or 70's! I am really getting nervous, when i think that all of my mum's vintage clothes and accessories have been lost into the time!

Fashion works as a circle : you must never throw away your clothes&accessories, beacuse at this time are out-of fashion. The time goes on and on, and what was out becomes in an extremely way again IN.

p.s Even the clothes that do not suit you anymore should not be thrown away. Use them as a piece of clothe to create something else, either an extra pocket on a t-shirt or a button on a skirt! think about it-it works x

what is style?

All of you,people... I am really wondering what style means for each separate person. For example i may consider this sytlish and fashionable and someone else considers the same thing out-of 'date'. Of course style does not mean a piece of clothe BUT the total outfit. For example a nice top from Topshop, a known shop, does not create style at it's own. It's up to the person to make it BETTER OR WORSE! I am very sad to see girls in my age or whatever, who buy these kind of clothes-just beacuse they are worn by everyone! This absolutely does not mean, that you are in-fashion. Actually, it may ends at the opposite result..

Style is a personal case, you have to deal with at your own. I am not saying that is a bad thing(for god NO) to read fashion magazines and get aware of current trends. What i mean, is not to end up as a ''fashion victim''. We have to know what kind of clothes suit to our body and personality so as to be able to represent them! <<We wear clothes-and-not the clothes wear us>>!! This is a very true statement, which i try to be thinking of every time i get dressed.

Moreover, i personally believe that by wearing from top till bottom, famousbrands with their logos just to show off or because you are a welfare person, you become the same victim as in all other cases. Fashion needs fantasy&imagination, personality and OPEN-minds. Of course, there are many different kind of styles. The more classic one, the trendy one, the girly one, the androgynous and so on. So instead  of being reassured with a RalphLauren or Burberry basic top and a jean which is always infashion, prefer to create your own style, using your imagination. Then you are really going to be distinguished through the streets and why not you may be the first one who invented a NEWTREND!!
